It’s that time again folks! On June 7th, the annual Wholesome Direct went live! A showcase of adorable and chill games all about promoting wholesome vibes and bringing communities together. There’s something in this Direct for everyone, whether you’re looking for platformers, relaxing experiences or just something cute. Even better, it’s Wholesome Directs 5th anniversary so this year in particular is a special one. Let’s look at some lovely highlights. You might find a new furry favorite!

Luma Island: Pirates - Luma Island combines farm sim and rpg mechanics in one adorable package! Build your own farm, go fishing and adventure alongside friends and family as you encounter wonderful and adorable creatures. The upcoming Pirates expansion adds a new zone, new lumas, new activities and more! It launches on June 20th but you can pick up the base game on Steam now!
Squeakross: Home Squeak Home - Solve relaxing puzzles and create new furniture for your rodent friend. With hundreds of puzzles to solve and tons of accessories, you can customize your mouse and their home however you like. It’s available now on Steam and Switch and there’s even a demo.
The Guardian of Nature - Explore nature with botanist Henry and solve puzzles. Interact with various animals and put nature back together in this gorgeous hand-drawn adventure. It’s in early access with episode 1 currently available on Steam!
Fireside Feelings - Gather around a cozy campfire and share your thoughts with others! Relax and grab a drink with this mental wellness experience meant to promote empathy and positivity. Available on Steam now!

Let’s Build a Dungeon - Build your very own MMORPG in this exciting simulator. Design your game and create devious dungeons for your playerbase. No release date has been announced but a demo is available on Steam now and it’ll be coming to Xbox
Haunted Paws - Team up with a friend in this cozy co-op experience. Work together as two pups looking to save their hooman friend in a haunted mansion! There’s plenty of spooks and other hidden horrors lurking in the shadows. No release date has been announced yet but if you’re eager to get your paws on this, a Closed Alpha is currently available to sign up for on Steam
Winter Burrow - Have a seat and chill with this cozy survival game about a mouse looking to restore their childhood burrow. Explore, gather resources and knit warm sweaters as you get to know the locals. Due to be released later this year but a demo is currently available on Steam.
Everdeep Aurora - Descend into the Everdeep as the feline Shell, who's searching for her mother. Explore underground and meet unique characters in this 16-bit platformer. Releases on July 10th for Steam and Switch, with a demo available on the former.
Heidi’s Legacy: Mountains Calling - Tend to goats and join a quiet but meaningful alpine community. Inspired by the Heidi novels, this quaint little sim will let you discover the power of nature and healing. No date announced yet but you can wishlist it on Steam
Hotel Galactic - Take charge of a rundown intergalactic hotel and turn it into a thriving business! Interact with a variety of unique patrons from across the cosmos and customize your corner of the galaxy as you like. Releases on July 24th on Steam and has a demo available
Collector’s Cove - Bond with a trusty animal friend and sail the sea! Build and customize your own farm on deck and craft items from foraged materials. No release date but a demo is available on Steam
Shiba Sweet - Step into the paws of a novice Shiba chef and craft wonderful desserts in this exceedingly cute sim! Buy ingredients, bake adorable sweet snacks and stick them in bento boxes for your smiling customers. Coming soon on Steam
Muri: Wildwoods - Embark on a wondrous journey as a brave muri looking to investigate the source of corruption. Venture deep into the wildwoods, solve puzzles and meet the various critters that inhabit it! Coming soon on Steam and particularly adventurous gamers can sign up for playtesting!
