Two thousand years after the rebellion, peace flourished in the wake of Drake's and Satoshi's birth. However, during Drake's ascension to godhood, Baphomet possessed a member of the clergy and seized control of Satoshi's body, consuming his soul and stealing the Dragonheart. With his father wounded, Drake fled, accompanied by Captain Sart'anna and his dragon partner Melvin, both of whom trained him for his eventual confrontation with Baphomet.
