The Wolf's Hunt

Short Summary
——————————————
The little bit I played after having a rough time starting the game (the menu is odd and the 'start' is even weirder. My computer didn't recognize it running as a game). Was interesting to say the least. Very little development seemed to go into this game, with bugs everywhere, crashing constant once I hit a certain point (which was very short into the game) There's no indication to players where to go. Barebones is the definition of this game.

I mean you play as a wolf...

I don't think I'm going to drag the game more than I have. Check out the summary for my input. Definitely don't recommend buying, and because of the crashing I actually requested a refund.

Wolf Souls

Short Summary
——————————————
You like souls games? You like wolves? This may be the game for you! You get a wolf 'friend' to help you in combat as you run around and fight monsters and bosses.

Definitely could tell this was a developer passion project. It has a nostalgic atmosphere to it with style and assets. I liked the idea of the gameplay (it's very souls like) and the environments were interesting and I liked the stat system within it! I also liked there were 'challenging' paths that rewarded you with better loot!

Dislikes

There were a few bugs for sure. Hit boxes were kind of bad, and in a soulslike that can be make or break. Dead enemy bodies also cause damage if you were too close and I had to restart several times because of this. Button inputs also sometimes had a major delay or just outright didn't register, so the 'combo' system they tried to get you to use almost always ended with you taking damage. If you restarted due to dying any weapon you found before dying was reset to the basic sword, no matter how deep in you were, so that legendary lava sword we spent a good 20 minutes getting was just gone because an enemy corpse killed us.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood

Short Summary
——————————————
Steam Summary: You are Cahal, a powerful Garou who chose to go into exile after losing control of his destructive rage. He can transform into a wolf and a Crinos, a huge ferocious beast. Master your three forms and their powers to punish those who defile Gaia.

I love the gameplay, shifting between stances and forms is sooooo smooth. It feels so natural. I like the designs of the wolf (Lupus) and the werewolf (Crinos) as well. If you like choosing your style of gameplay between raw carnage or stealth (or a hybrid), then this game is what you're looking for!

Dislikes

The story and narrative is kind of bad. It is very cliche, and you definitely know when something is going to happen ahead of time. The move combos are a little clunky but just keep mashing buttons and everyone dies, usually in a cool way.

SlapRaptorDark
SlapRaptorDark Werewolf Apocalypse was super fun to watch! Even with the bad story, it's got the charm of a 00s action shooter, but with werewolves and dads who may or may not leave you feeling confused about things. Also there's something to be said about a bad guy... Show more 7 months ago
